Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operates X-ray equipment according to procedure.
• Provides radiation protection for patient according to safety standards.
• Adjusts technical factors for patient age and condition.
• Verifies correct order on chart or physician order; refer questions to supervisor.
• Maintains accurate documentation and data entry per policy.
• Notifies physician if exam modifications are required.
• Uses RIS and PACS; ensures proper charges and supplies.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.
• Maintains current Basic Life Support certification.
• Assists in training radiology students.
