Responsibilities

• Operates X-ray equipment according to procedure.
• Provides radiation protection for patient according to safety standards.
• Adjusts technical factors for age, body habitus, and disease conditions.
• Verifies correct orders and consults supervisor/physician as needed.
• Document data entry accurately per policy.
• Assists with contrast administration when required.
• Develops images using CR or DR with proper markers.
• Transfers patients to/from X-ray and positions them correctly.
• Explains procedures to patients.
