Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or registry eligible and become registered within one year from date of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge of General Diagnostic Radiology and adheres to UNC protocols.
  • Ensures patient data and images are correct; transmits QA-ed images to PACS and documents procedures.
  • Performs high-quality radiographic imaging consistently and follows safety procedures.
  • Uses RIS, CIS, PACS and SMS to access information and document status of procedures.
  • Verifies patient identity and conditions; assists in emergencies and ensures patient safety
