Job summary

Atlantic Health System's radiology departments seek a skilled Radiologic Technologist to perform age-appropriate diagnostic, fluoroscopic, and interventional imaging as part of a team dedicated to quality care.

You'll manage image production, ensure ALARA principles, support teleradiology workflows, and collaborate with EMR systems for scheduling, billing, and documentation while delivering compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• New Jersey State license to operate Radiologic Medical Equipment.
• BLS certified.
• Board Certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform age-appropriate diagnostic, OR, and fluoroscopic radiological procedures.
• Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control for radiologic medical equipment as assigned.
• Manage image production including trouble shooting and downtime protocol performance.
• Maintains repeat rates to a minimum through proper technique and accurate factors.
• Utilize teleradiology applications to process imaging orders for remote dictation.
• Utilize EMR systems to process imaging orders including scheduling, transcription, billing charges and documentation.
• Ensure continuity regarding equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, etc.
• Ability to interpret, communicate and deliver age-appropriate care.
• Assess and respond to patients' physical, social, and psychological needs.
• Ability to activate, participate and follow through in emergency events.
• Participating in the clinical education of radiography students, as required.
• Cover on call, as required.
• Meet physical demands consistent with the position such as walking, lifting, standing, pushing and pulling.
