Job summary

McKinley Park Care Center in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Per-Diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver rehabilitative care, helping residents regain mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• Current California PTA License
• License in good standing
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and therapeutic interventions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Commitment to providing exceptional resident care

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy treatments and interventions as established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, transfer training, and functional mobility programs.
• Monitor resident response to treatment and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Reinforce resident and family education regarding exercises, safety precautions, mobility techniques, and fall prevention.
• Assist residents in achieving established rehabilitation goals.
