Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to provide therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist. You will teach patients exercises for mobility, strength, and coordination, including walking with assistive devices, and demonstrate the use of physical agents and electrotherapy.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, adjusting plans as needed, and collaborating with the supervising PT to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire.
• Must be able to train and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Provides appropriate physical therapy treatment under the plan of care to restore function and mobility.
• Teaches exercises for gait, balance, and mobility to patients and families.
• Documents and communicates patient progress with supervising PT.
• Selects and fits assistive devices for gait training and instructs proper use.
• Performs modalities as indicated and ensures billing compliance.
