Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join a team delivering high-quality care in East Stroudsburg, PA. You will work under a physical therapist, teaching mobility and strengthening exercises and guiding patients in gait training and use of therapeutic modalities.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate’s Degree in PTA, possess BLS, and are able to work at multiple LVHN locations per diem as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in physical therapy assisting.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Ability to train and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Provides care under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist.
• Teaches patients exercises for mobility, strength, and coordination.
• Recommends modifications to treatment plans to maximize outcomes.
• Performs gait training and uses modalities as indicated to aid recovery.
• Completes documentation according to policies and standards.
