Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapist Assistant to join the Rehab Services team in Quakertown. The PTA will provide therapy under the supervision of a licensed PT, guiding patients through exercises to improve mobility, strength and coordination.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting and the ability to train and mentor others. Per diem work across locations may be involved, with a day shift schedule (Mon-Thu 7a-7p, Fri 7a-5p).

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatment consistent with the plan of care to restore function.
• Instruct patients on exercises for mobility, gait, and strength.
• Adjust treatment plans under supervision of a PT to maximize results.
• Document care and communicate progress with supervising PT.
• Select and fit assistive devices for gait training and educate patients on use.
