Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network in Hazleton seeks a Per Diem Physical Therapy Assistant to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed therapist. You will assist with mobility, gait training, and ther-ex, tailoring instruction to individual needs and documenting progress.

Responsibilities include selecting and fitting assistive devices, teaching exercises to patients and their families, and coordinating with the Rehab Unit to restore function and independence.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree PTA; ability to train and mentor others.
• Per diem availability; able to work at various locations per shift.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire (PA).

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatment per plan of care to restore function.
• Instruct patients, families, and staff in exercises and mobility techniques.
• Recommend modifications to therapy plans to achieve maximum results.
• Select and fit assistive devices for gait training and instruct proper use.
