Job summary

Parklands Care Center in Gainesville, FL is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support residents under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Per-diem opportunities with new competitive rates offer flexible scheduling within a caring rehab team.

The role requires an Associate degree in PTA, Florida PTA license (or eligibility), CPR certification, and experience in skilled nursing or rehab settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Current Florida PTA license (or eligibility).
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehab settings preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement therapy treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises and mobility activities.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress and response to treatment.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with facility standards.
• Collaborate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
• Ensure compliance with all facility policies and state/federal regulations.
