Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson - Acute Rehab Unit in Festus, MO seeks a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the Physical Therapist in delivering patient care, document progress, and adjust treatment within the established plan.

The role supports the rehab team with safety-conscious care, addressing age-specific needs and coordinating with the PT and PTA aide. Entry-level candidates considered with appropriate licensure and BLS.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Licensed in the state of practice or holding a state-authorized temporary permit/license, where applicable.
• Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in the provision of physical therapy.
• Perform physical therapy procedures and related tasks as delegated by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Document patient progress notes and adjust treatment within the plan as directed.
• Coordinate workload and provide direction to the Physical Therapy aide.
• Address age-specific needs and ensure patient safety and comfort.
