Mercy Hospital Jefferson – Acute Rehab Unit in Festus, MO seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support the Physical Therapist in delivering therapy services. The PTA will document progress, adjust procedures within the treatment plan, and coordinate department workload, while ensuring patient safety and age-appropriate care.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in physical therapy assisting.
• Licensed or eligible to practice as PTA in MO.
• Entry-level candidates welcome.
• BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Physical Therapist in the provision of physical therapy.
• Document patient progress notes.
• Modify a treatment procedure within the PT plan as patient status changes.
• Provide technical assistance and coordinate workload with the Physical Therapy aide.
• Address age-specific needs and report patient safety issues.
