Mercy Hospital Jefferson - Acute Rehab Unit in Festus, MO is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for per diem coverage. You will assist the supervising Physical Therapist, document patient progress, and adapt treatments as patient status changes while maintaining safety and patient dignity.

Strong teamwork and coordination with the PT aide are essential. Eligible candidates hold an Associate's degree, licensed to practice (or eligible for licensure) and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required for PTA role.
• Current licensure to practice as PTA in the state.
• BLS certification or equivalent required.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Physical Therapist in selected procedures.
• Document patient progress notes and care delivery.
• Modify treatment within the PT plan as patient status changes.
• Provide safe, directed PT procedures under supervision.
• Address age-specific needs for all patients.
• Treat patients and families with respect and dignity.
• Identify and report patient safety issues promptly.
• Coordinate workload and provide direction to the PT aide.
