Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking a Physical Therapist-Per Diem to evaluate and treat adult and geriatric patients under the supervision of Therapy Leadership. The role includes supervision of staff and adherence to Mercy Service Standards at the Washington, MO location.

The position requires a DPT/PTS or equivalent, current licensure, and BLS certification. Per diem schedule includes at least one Saturday per month and holiday coverage, with shifts during IP or OP as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before care for patients independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and supervision to rehabilitation technicians and PT assistants as applicable.
• Adhere to departmental policies and Mercy Service Standards and state practice acts.
