Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington in Washington, MO, seeks a Per Diem Physical Therapist to assess patients and create individualized treatment plans for adults and geriatric populations. You will supervise patients, rehab technicians, and PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts, under Therapy Leadership.

The role requires a PT degree and active licensure in the state, with BLS certification. Per diem shifts include at least one Saturday per month, one holiday per year, and additional IP/OP

Qualifications

• PT degree required or equivalent (Bachelor/Master/Doctorate in Physical Therapy).
• Current or temporary Physical Therapist license in state of practice.
• BLS certification current before providing care independently.
• Six months to one year experience in rehabilitation preferred.
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adults and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians; supervise PT assistants per State Practice Acts.
• Work under Therapy Leadership; follow departmental policies and Mercy Service Standards.
• Per diem schedule includes minimum one Saturday per month; one holiday per year and as-needed shifts during the week at IP or OP.

Education

Bachelor/Master/Doctorate in Physical Therapy

Current/Temporary PT license in state of practice

BLS certification

Six months to one year rehab experience preferred

Experience with adult and geriatric patients preferred
