Job summary

Penn Medicine Princeton Health is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse to join the Behavioral Health Float team at Princeton House Behavioral Health in Princeton, NJ. The RN will provide care across units on the inpatient psychiatric service, following established policies and treatment plans.

A Bachelor’s degree or an Associate’s degree with applicable experience is required, along with 15 months RN experience and NJ RN license; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, or in pursuit of
• An RN with an Associate’s Degree and more than 5 years of clinical experience may be considered
• 15 months of RN experience required
• Psychiatric experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Active RN NJ license required

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a plan of nursing care based on goals derived from identified needs; revises the patients individualized plan of care as indicated
• Implements individualized nursing plan of care, consistent with established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Evaluates and documents patient responses to nursing care, and participates in evaluating and improving the delivery of care on the unit
• Demonstrates accuracy in entering medication orders on the computer and medication administration
• Provides appropriate coordination of care and intervention to patients undergoing a psychiatric or medical emergency
