Job summary

Aya Healthcare, Inc. is seeking an ER Registered Nurse for per diem shifts in Long Beach, CA. This role offers freedom to tailor your schedule while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience in ED with arterial line, ventilated patient care and trauma/stroke care.
• Ability to interpret ABGs and manage dysrhythmias.

Responsibilities

• Provide ER nursing care for adult/pediatric patients in Long Beach, CA.
• Manage arterial lines, IVs, and central lines; monitor ventilated patients.
• Perform phlebotomy and administer blood products as needed.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE; participate in trauma and stroke protocols.

• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Required Skills: Arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Care of Ventilated Patient, Central line care/management, Continuous IV sedation, General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Level II Trauma Center, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), IV vasopressors, Management of dysrhythmias, Ortho trauma, Pediatric Emergency Department, Phlebotomy, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Starting and maintaining IVs, STEMI Certified Facility, Stroke Certified Facility, Triage
