Qualifications

• Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program
• PANCE certification is required
• Active physician assistant license in the state of employment
• Maintain licensure for the duration of employment
• Minimum of one year of experience in occupational medicine, urgent care or emergency settings

Responsibilities

• Examines patient and compiles medical data
• Orders or administers diagnostic tests (x-ray, ECG, labs)
• Interprets test results and evaluates deviations from normal
• Performs therapeutic procedures (injections, suturing, wound care)
• Develops patient management plans and documents progress
• Ensures quality assurance and accuracy of documentation
• Provides patient education and counseling on treatment plans
• Maintains adherence to medical protocols and occupational health policies
• Delivers compassionate patient care and excellent customer service
• Assists in policy development and staff education
