Job summary

Lions Rehab Center in Cumberland, MD is seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver direct rehab care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist at our 101-bed skilled nursing facility.

The PTA will implement treatment plans, educate patients, chart accurately, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes in a compassionate setting. Maryland license and post-acute experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Maryland licensure/registration required.
• One year of post-acute care experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans, provide patient education, and collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Follow treatment plans under the direction of the supervising PT.
• Chart appropriately and timely.
• Utilize therapy software accurately.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
