Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in the Acute Rehab Unit. Per diem schedule; you will assist with treatment procedures, document patient progress notes, and adapt plans under supervision.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree.
• Licensure: Currently licensed in the state of practice or holding a state-authorized temporary permit/license.
• Experience: PTA may be entry-level.
• Certifications: Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in the provision of physical therapy and related tasks.
• Document patient progress notes.
• Provide physical therapy procedures as directed by a supervising Physical Therapist.
• Address age-specific needs for all patients and maintain safety.
• Treat patients and families with respect and dignity and report any patient safety issue.
• Coordinate workload and provide direction to the Physical Therapy aide as directed.
