Responsibilities

• Obtains quality blood samples using phlebotomy methods for all age groups.
• Ensures accurate patient identification and proper specimen labeling, processing, and transport.
• May assist in patient care during emergencies.
• Communicates with patients and care teams to ensure satisfaction.
• Resolves common operational issues in the work area.
• Provides training to new staff and students.
• Handles sharps and biohazard materials safely per regulations.
• Complies with HIPAA and uses computer systems effectively.
• Performs additional tests, administration, and specimen collection as required.
