Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is looking for a Phlebotomist to join on a per diem basis. The role involves performing venipuncture and skin puncture competently and efficiently while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

You will assist in the clinical laboratory and handle blood cultures and capillary samples as needed. This per diem position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to work with a dedicated team in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• State Laboratory Assistant licensure required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Draws blood competently, consistently and expediently with as little patient discomfort as possible.
• Identifies the patient using the two-unique identifiers described in the hospital’s policy before services are provided.
• Records phlebotomy requisitions on log.
• Displays courteous, professional manner toward patients, co-workers, nursing and medical staff.
