Job summary

Labcorp in Perth Amboy, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist Per Diem to join our team. The role involves blood collection, specimen handling, and providing excellent patient service in a per-diem capacity with varying shifts.

You'll work in Patient Service Centers or Client offices, with opportunities for growth within Labcorp’s healthcare network. This position emphasizes quality service, accuracy, and teamwork to support our diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or training with 3+ months experience.
• Certification/training from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
