Labcorp in Bound Brook, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist for a casual/PRN role. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques and collect specimens for drug screens and other tests.

You will enter patient information, prepare specimens for testing, and maintain logs while delivering superior customer service. Travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Six months or more experience as a phlebotomist preferred.

Job Overview

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Bound Brook, NJ. This is a casual/PRN position with hours as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Six (6) months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Pay

Pay Range: $17.75 – $24.00 per hour. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Phlebotomist may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
