Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Bear, DE. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques across age groups, enter data, and provide compassionate patient service.

In this casual/per diem role, you may work at patient service centers or client offices, travel to additional sites as needed, and support billing, specimen handling and records with accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program required.
• 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
