Beth Israel Deaconess Milton is seeking a per diem Pharmacy Technician. Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy, the technician performs a variety of pharmacy functions including filling routine orders for unit doses and I.V. admixtures.

This role requires 0-1 years experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and relevant state registration (CPhT preferred). The position is on-site at Milton, MA with pay range $24.50–$32.97 per hour.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years experience (entry level).
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Registered Technician with State required.
• CPhT credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Restocks floor stock/automated dispensing machines.
• Enters charges/credits against patient profile to ensure accurate billing.
• Monitors medication order reports to assign medication to automated dispensing machine.
• Delivers all medication in compliance with DEA, DPH & State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Repackages bulk meds in unit of use packaging; prepares and delivers IV meds per USP standards.
• Checks for expired medications and disposes of damaged meds per regulations.
