Job summary

Main Line Health is seeking a per diem Pharmacy Technician at Riddle Hospital to join a collaborative pharmacy team. You will assist the pharmacist by filling and delivering medication orders, and you may prepare IV medications while ensuring accurate inventory control.

Previous hospital pharmacy technician experience is preferred, with a high school diploma and strong math skills required. Certification or enrollment in an accredited program is expected by May 1, 2020.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with strong math background.
• Ability to learn and become proficient in computers and IV aseptic technique.
• Familiarity with medications routinely stocked in the pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Fill and deliver medication orders with a Registered Pharmacist.
• Prepare IV medications.
• Inspect and organize pharmacy inventory.

Position:

Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem

Experience:

Previous hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred.

Education:

• 1. High school diploma or equivalent, along with a strong background in math, is required.
• 2. Ability to learn and become proficient in the use of computers, aseptic technique for IV preparations, and medications routinely stocked in the pharmacy, as necessary.

Licensures/Certifications:

Effective May 1, 2020:

Must be certified Pharmacy Tech or be enrolled in accredited Pharmacy program or progressing towards PharmD.
