Job summary

Main Line Health in Media, PA seeks a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations under a Registered Pharmacist. You will fill and deliver medication orders, assist with sterile IV preparations, and help maintain inventory.

From high school diploma to certification path, you will learn aseptic techniques, use pharmacy computer systems, and contribute to patient care in a hospital setting. Per diem status offers flexible scheduling and the chance to grow with MLH.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with strong math background.
• Willingness to learn computers, aseptic techniques for IVs, and routine medications.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician or enrolled in an accredited program (or pursuing PharmD).

Responsibilities

• Fill and deliver medication orders under a Registered Pharmacist.
• Prepare IV medications and ensure proper aseptic technique.
• Inspect and organize inventory; support medication availability.

Position:

Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem

Experience:

Previous hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred.

Education:

1. High school diploma or equivalent, along with a strong background in math, is required.
2. Ability to learn and become proficient in the use of computers, aseptic technique for IV preparations, and medications routinely stocked in the pharmacy, as necessary.

Licensures/Certifications:

Effective May 1, 2020:

Must be certified Pharmacy Tech or be enrolled in accredited Pharmacy program or progressing towards PharmD.
