Job summary

Main Line Health seeks a Per Diem Staff Pharmacist at Paoli Hospital. You will interpret and evaluate medication orders, consult with clinicians, and lead Technicians to ensure accurate dispensing and timely drug administration.

You will educate healthcare teams and patients, supporting cost-effective therapy while maintaining high-quality patient care. Per diem shifts include weekends and a holiday, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• One year hospital Pharmacy experience preferred.
• Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required.
• Clinical clerks or residencies in hospital settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and evaluate medication orders for patients and consult with healthcare professionals to optimize drug therapy.
• Supervise Technicians to ensure accurate compounding and timely drug administration.
• Provide drug information and guidance to the healthcare team and educate providers and patients.

Experience

• One year of work in hospital Pharmacy where IV admixtures, automated distribution functions, and clinical counseling were employed is preferred.
• Work history with good to excellent record in organization, accuracy, quality and quantity of work and attendance is required.

Education

• Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy required.
• Clinical clerkships, residencies and specialties in hospital-oriented environments preferred.

Licensures/Certifications

A current Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required.
