Job summary

Capsule is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist (PT) for our Manhattan, NY pharmacy. You will support operations with prescription transfers, patient communications, and rigorous verification of accuracy and regulatory compliance. This in-person role requires willingness to work flexible shifts and weekends.

Ideal candidates have 1–2+ years of pharmacy experience and active NY or NJ license. This position offers meaningful, hands-on work within Capsule's fast-paced, patient-centered pharmacy network.

About the Role

As a Per Diem Pharmacist, you will play an essential role in supporting our operations team. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Manage the transfers of new and existing prescriptions between pharmacies and use multiple computer systems to enter prescriptions and communicate with patients

• Translate prescriptions provided by the prescriber via phone and enter information in the patient’s profile in accordance with state regulations

• Verify the accuracy of prescriptions, ensuring they meet all legal, regulatory, and quality standards.

• Master our internal systems: develop full operational knowledge and understanding of the pharmacy and manage internal and external pharmacy operations (including communications with physicians and insurers)

Requirements

• You have 1-2+ years of relevant pharmacy experience, including prescription processing, inventory management, and customer inquiries

• You hold a valid Pharmacist License in the State of New York or New Jersey and must reside in NY or NJ.

• You are ready to work as required to provide coverage for any unplanned absences, days off, or scheduled time off and are interested in full-time employment with Capsule

• You are a recent graduate with retail pharmacy experience

• Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule, including morning/evening shifts, and weekends.Monday - Friday: 9 am - 7 pm / 10 am - 8 pm,
  Saturdays: 8 am - 6 pm / 10:30 am - 8:30 pm,
  Sundays: 8 am - 6 pm / 8:30 am - 8:30 pm
  Per Diem shifts Sunday to Saturday for up to 10 hours per shift during Pharmacy hours M-F 8am-10pm and Sat-Sun 9am-6pm. Please note this position is in person at our pharmacy.
