Job summary

Capsule, a fast-growing national pharmacy delivering medications with a focus on customer experience, seeks a Per Diem Pharmacist in Chicago, IL. You will ensure accurate and timely delivery of prescription orders, handle processing, filling, inventory, and provider communications, and counsel customers on medications and OTC items.

Requirements include 1–2+ years of pharmacy experience, IL license, and ability to pass background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Learn Capsule systems and manage internal and external pharmacy operations.
• Process, fill, inventory, and answer customer inquiries.
• Communicate with doctors' offices, pharmacies, and insurers.
• Collaborate with pharmacy colleagues and courier team to ensure smooth deliveries.
• Counsel patients on prescription and OTC items.

About the Role

As a Per Diem Pharmacist you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of prescription orders to patients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Learn our systems thoroughly, managing both internal and external pharmacy operations
• Be a team player, handling various aspects of prescription orders such as processing, filling, inventory, and customer inquiries
• Communicate well with doctors' offices, pharmacies, and insurers to meet prescription needs.
• Collaborate with pharmacy colleagues to ensure a smooth customer experience in a dynamic workflow and work with our courier team to handle deliveries efficiently
• Provide counseling and drug-related information to customers for both prescription and over-the-counter items

Requirements

• You have 1-2+ years of relevant pharmacy experience, including prescription processing, inventory management, and customer inquiries
• You hold a valid Pharmacist License in this state
• You are ready to work as required to provide coverage for any unplanned absences, days off, or scheduled time off
• You understand how to create a great customer experience and can analyze and improve pharmacy processes
• You must be able to pass a background check and drug test as a requirement of employment
• You are available to work within operating hours: Chicago Pharmacy Hours of Operation:
  Monday - Friday 8:00am-6:00pm
