Responsabilités

• Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations, policies and procedures and accrediting body standards.
• Interprets and evaluates physician medication orders for therapeutic appropriateness and cost efficiency.
• Maintains all legally required records.
• Supervises pharmacy support staff and interns in drug preparation and labeling.
• Provides clinical information and communicates results of monitoring activities to patients, nurses and physicians.
• Compiles and updates documentation per policy and procedure.
• Manages inventory levels and preferred product selection of drugs and supplies.
• Performs IV compounding with proper technique and checks.
• Participates in clinical activities with nurses and physicians including history reviews and dosing considerations.
• Participates in on-call rotations and performance improvement activities.
