Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is hiring a Float Pharmacist for our Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island sites. This onsite role involves dispensing medications, counseling customers, and ensuring compliance with NY State Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Requirements include a Doctor of Pharmacy or equivalent degree, NY pharmacist license, and ability to immunize or obtain immunization certification within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Current pharmacist license in New York State.
• Certified immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 3 months of hire.
• Access to reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use.
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties.
