Job summary

Baystate Health in Springfield, MA is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Chestnut PACU team at Chestnut Surgical Center. The role focuses on pre-operative preparation and post-operative recovery for a predominantly pediatric patient population, with some adults, in a Magnet-recognized hospital.

You will work flexible 10-hour shifts, rotate days, and may cross-train in Motility and Endoscopy while collaborating with the perioperative care team to ensure safe, patient-centered

Qualifications

• RN experience minimum 1 year.
• Current American Heart Association CPR certification required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients in the pre-operative area for surgery.
• Provide nursing care to patients during post-surgical recovery in the PACU.
• Care for a primarily pediatric patient population, with some adult patients.
• Support both inpatient and outpatient surgical patients.
• Work within the Chestnut Surgical Center outpatient operating room environment.
• Provide safe, patient-centered care throughout the perioperative experience.
• Cross-train in Motility and Endoscopy.
• Collaborate with the surgical and perioperative care team to support quality patient outcomes.
