Baystate Health in Springfield, MA, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Chestnut PACU to provide perioperative care in a Magnet-recognized hospital. The role focuses on pediatric patients in pre-op and post-op recovery, with cross-training in Motility and Endoscopy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients in the pre-operative area for surgery.
• Provide nursing care to patients during post-surgical recovery in the PACU.
• Care for a pediatric patient population, with some adult patients.
• Support both inpatient and outpatient surgical patients.
• Work within the Chestnut Surgical Center outpatient operating room environment.
• Provide safe, patient-centered perioperative care.
• Cross-train in Motility and Endoscopy.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to support outcomes.
