Job summary

First Choice Nurses is hiring PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Earn competitive per diem pay and pick the shifts that fit your life. 7a-7p and 7p-7a options available.

Active Virginia RN license, 2 years PCU experience, BLS/ACLS, and vaccination or exemption are required. You can work as little as one shift per month and enjoy flexible scheduling, daily/weekly pay, and hospital-based assignments.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS.
• Current AHA ACLS.
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
