Job summary

First Choice Nurses is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts throughout Virginia. You can pick up shifts that fit your life, with the freedom to work when it works for you.

RNs should have a Virginia license, 2+ years PCU experience, and current AHA BLS/ACLS. Per diem pay is competitive and daily/weekly options are available.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS.
• Current AHA ACLS.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
