Job summary

First Choice Nurses is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in Hampton Roads, Virginia. You can pick 7a-7p or 7p-7a shifts and decide when to work, from occasional extras to a fuller schedule. PCU RNs must hold a Virginia license, have 2 years of PCU experience, and current AHA BLS/ACLS.

Vaccination or approved exemption is required. Competitive per diem pay and flexible scheduling empower you to control your career.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care within acute-care hospital environments
• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Follow facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapt professionally to different hospital units and environments
