Job summary

First Choice Nurses is hiring PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Earn competitive per diem pay and choose shifts that fit your life, including 7a-7p and 7p-7a options.

You’ll work in acute-care hospital settings, with opportunities to pick up as little as one shift per month and receive daily or weekly pay. Virginia license and BLS/ACLS are required, along with vaccination or approved exemption.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license and active registration.
• AHA BLS certification current.
• AHA ACLS certification current.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test current within 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital environments.
• Assess and monitor patient conditions; document changes.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams; maintain EMR accuracy.

PCU RN Requirements

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment
