First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is hiring PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. You can pick shifts that fit your life, with options including 7a-7p and 7p-7a, and receive competitive per diem pay.

Active Virginia RN license and 2+ years of PCU experience are required, along with AHA BLS and ACLS. QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within 12 months and vaccination or approved exemption are also required.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN License is required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing within past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and patient status changes.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Adhere to infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units as needed.

PCU RN Requirements

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
