Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. Shift options include 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with the freedom to pick schedules that fit your life. Per diem pay is competitive and daily/weekly pay options are available.

Active Virginia RN license and 2+ years PCU experience within the last 4 years, BLS, ACLS, and updated TB test are required, along with vaccination or approved exemption. Join FCN to control your schedule.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS
• QuantiFERON-TB test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
