Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Virginia. Enjoy flexible scheduling with the option to pick up as many shifts as you want, including occasional calls for last-minute needs.

Competitive per diem pay, daily or weekly pay options, and a responsive local staffing team support your workload. BLS/ACLS and VA RN license required, with relevant PCU experience and vaccination or exemption as applicable.

Qualifications

• 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Active VA RN license is required
• BLS certification must be current
• ACLS certification must be current
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption may be required

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments

• Active
