Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts in Hampton Roads, VA. Shifts are 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with the freedom to pick when you work.

Join a locally owned staffing team offering flexible scheduling, daily/weekly pay, and hospital-based opportunities. Per diem earners can build a fuller schedule or just one shift per month.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• AHA BLS Current
• AHA ACLS Current
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
