Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Pontiac, MI is seeking a Per Diem Patient Care Technician to support the Nursing Float Pool. You will care for patients, perform phlebotomy duties, and provide psychosocial support under RN supervision.

The role requires completing a PCT program or possessing a Michigan CNA license with phlebotomy training, plus BLS certification. Daily shifts 7a–7:30p, weekends required, per diem schedule with no on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• PCT program completion or CNA license with Phlebotomy Training required.
• BLS certification from a recognized provider is required before start date and valid for 60 days beyond.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care with a plan of care under supervision.
• Perform phlebotomy as directed using proper identification and labeling.
• Offer psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Assist with activities of daily living: toileting, bathing, feeding, ambulation.
• Document care accurately per hospital guidelines immediately after care.
