Job summary

William Paterson University seeks a part-time instructor to teach patient care courses on-site, guiding students toward certification in a healthcare setting. The role focuses on basic nursing skills, patient safety, vital signs, and patient communication, aligned with NJ state requirements and AMCA exam readiness.

You will track attendance, progress, and grades, develop relevant curricula, and provide constructive feedback to support student success.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of healthcare experience, RN or LPN, with student nurse preceptor experience.
  • Experience using IT including MS Office, Teams, Workday, Webex and Zoom.
  • Ability to work independently and support student success.

Responsibilities

  • Teach on-site patient care courses (basic nursing skills, patient safety, vital signs).
  • Deliver course/outcomes as defined by program competencies per NJ rules for certification.
  • Prepare students for AMCA exam using program outline and exam blueprint.
