Job summary

Optima Dermatology is seeking a per diem Pathology Lab Aide to support daily accessioning, cassette creation, and maintenance of histology equipment at the Portsmouth, NH lab. The role emphasizes QA, compliance with SOPs and CLIA regulations, and collaboration with the pathology team.

Responsibilities include daily processing, safety adherence, and using IT systems to track slides after probation. Flexible hours: Monday to Friday, 6–8 hour shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor of Science degree or Associate degree preferred.
• Prior laboratory experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Daily accessioning and cassette creation for cases received into lab.
• Daily maintenance of the lab equipment such as the H&E stainer, tissue processor and other equipment.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, Quality Management Systems, and CLIA regulations.
• Complete sign-out of daily cases including verification of stain quality.
