Job summary

Northwell Health seeks a dedicated registered nurse to deliver age-specific care using the nursing process. You will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with physicians and the health team.

Leadership and clinical judgement guide coordination and delegation on the unit. You will administer treatments, educate patients and families, participate in discharge planning, and continuously evaluate outcomes to improve care quality.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with current RN license.
• 1-2 years nursing experience in related specialty preferred.
• BLS certification; other certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Assess physiologic health status and gather patient data.
• Collaborate with physicians and health team for care plans.
• Develop and implement the plan of care with priorities.
• Administer medications safely and document care.
• Educate patients and families; plan for discharge.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care as needed.
• Provide leadership and direction to care team on unit.
