Northwell Health is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver comprehensive patient care across assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Located in Queens, NY, this role emphasizes collaboration and patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will perform patient interviews, assess physiologic health, document plans of care, and support pain management and discharge readiness.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsabilités

• Assess the patient’s physiologic health status.
• Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
• Assess gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status.
• Determine mobility, sensory deficits, prostheses use, and skin condition.
• Assess level of pain and pain management.
• Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care.
• Assess patient’s psychosocial health status.
• Elicit perception of medical/nursing care and expectations.
• Identify cultural/ethnic requirements to reduce anxiety.
• Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes.
