Job summary

Community Access is seeking a Per Diem Overnight Respite Worker in New York, NY. This role provides peer-led support within the Residential Crisis Support program and helps guests manage mental health crises in a home-like setting.

Responsibilities include individual/group support, meal planning, and processing referrals, intakes, and discharges. Candidates must have lived experience with the mental health system and obtain NYS Peer Certification within 90 days of hire and full certification

Qualifications

• Have lived experience with the mental health system and willingness to share personal experience appropriately and respectfully.
• NYS Peer Certification required within 90 days of hire and full certification within one year.
• Ability to work days, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group-based supports to guests.
• Plan and prepare meals for residents.
• Process referrals, intakes, and discharges.
