Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) by the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT).
• Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office is highly desirable.
• Applicants fluent in American Sign Language, Arabic, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish and/or Vietnamese are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist Licensed Occupational Therapists in the delivery of therapy plans of care.
• Conduct treatment sessions and observe responses to treatment.
• Modify treatment technique during sessions as needed under supervision.
• Provide instruction in daily living activities and encourage patients to try new activities.
• Communicate with supervisor and health team about patient progress and plans.
• Document and maintain charts and records.
• Assist in providing caregiver instruction and order supplies.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
